Military Weddings
Attire:
Typically, grooms in the military choose their full
ceremonial dress uniforms, including white gloves and
swords or sabers. Many brides in the service prefer to wear
a traditional bridal gown instead of their uniform.
Preparing Invitations:
Military wedding invitations follow most of the same
general guidelines used for civilian weddings. The main
difference is in the use of titles. High-ranging
commissioned officers' titles are fully spelled out and
precede their names on the invitations. Junior-grade and
company-grade officers put both their titles and branches
of service on the line below their name.
